Hendrick van Ittersum was mayor of Hasselt in his later life.
Little is known about the life of Nicolaes van Galen; his name has so far not been found in baptismal books. Nicolaes was born either just before 1614 otherwise around 1620.

Of Jorrien and Rijckien six children are known, four sons and two daughters. The eldest son Jan died at an early age, as another son was later given the same name.
Jentien and Albert were born in Hasselt in 1615 and 1618, respectively.

No baptismal evidence has been found of the youngest children, Aeltien, Nicolaes and Jan, and their existence can be deduced from an estate division 1647. It is known that Jorrien remarried Aeltien Cornelis around 1647.
Op 08-02-1649 treedt Nicolaes te Amersfoort in het huwelijk met Jannete Ferreris dochter van Theodor Ferreris en Henrica Both.
