Paula Bär-Giese studied both piano and singing and graduated with honour. Her voice is a brilliant lyrical soprano.
Paula singing repertoire is various: she sung a lot of operette in the "Franz Lehár-trio" but also sings opera, oratorio and is a dedicated interpreter of the French songs.
With her partner, the luteplayer and guitarist Hans Meijer, she found a new challenge in re-discovering, performing and recording medieval and renaissance music.
She also plays a lot on historical pianos and other historical ancestors. She gives many concerts where she sings and at the same time accompanies herself at the piano-(forte). This is common use in popmusic, but not in the technical more challenging classical music. In this way she creates a perfect union between the singing and the accompaniment.
