Joannes Dulcken.
Harpsichord maker of Brussels, Amsterdam, The Hague (1742–1775). The son of Johan Daniël Dulcken (21 april 1706 – Antwerpen 11 april 1757) and Susanna Maria Knopffell, Joannes was born in Antwerp on 10 September 1742.

Shortly after the death of Johannes Daniel Johannes Daniel on 11 April 1757, Susanna Maria Knopfell attended the baptism of Susanna Maria, daughter of Johan Lodewijk Dulcken and Catharina Koning, on 22 July 1757 in Amsterdam.

Although Joannes was the main beneficiary of his father’s will, he was too young to succeed to the workshop and probably assisted his mother in running the business in Antwerp until 1763.
Susanna Maria Knopfell (Knoefel) received an attestation for Brussels in the parish "DES OLIFBERCHS" within the city of Antwerp as noted in the BOECK DER KERK

In 1764, he was living in Brussels with his mother and brother-in-law Johann Herman Faber and worked there at least until 1769
In 1771, Joannes Dulcken relocated to Amsterdam and in 1772 to The Hague and married Sara Brull in the nearby town of Scheveningen on 29 November 1772.

VAN DER SLUYS, in ’t Gekroonde Land van Belofte, over de Groote Kerk in ’s Hage, zal men laeten verlooten, eene fraeye CLAVECIMBAL met drie Registers, in een Clavier, zynde gemaakt door Gerrit Stevens alhier, in Zes-en twintig Loten, à 1 Ducaet het Lot. De Loten zyn te bekomen by bovengemelde, als ook by Monsr. van Dulcken, wonende in het Westeynde, by het Slop van de Drie Boeren, alwaer ook de Conditien te zien zyn.

VAN DER SLUYS, in ‘t Gekroonde Land van Belofte, over de Groote Kerk in ’s Hage, a beautiful CLAVECIMBAL with three Registers, in a Clavier, to be made by Gerrit Stevens alhier, in twenty-six lots, at 1 Ducaet a lot. The lots can be obtained by the above-mentioned, as well as by Monsr. van Dulcken, living in Westeynde, near the Slop van de Drie Boeren, where the conditions can also be seen.
This shows that Johannes Dulcken lived in the Westeynde, by the Slop van de Drie Boeren in 1773 in ‘s Hage.

Ruckers, and has been extended to five Octaves to know from F to F, by Joh. Dulcken, Master Harpsichord Maker in ”s Hage.
The little street between today's Prinsegracht and Westeynde was originally called Warmoesstraat. In the mid-seventeenth century, however, residents increasingly named the street after the inn located in the street, De Drie Boeren.
Their daughter Suzanna Maria Sara van Dulcken was baptised in The Hague Groote Kerk (Jacobijnenkerk) on 21 May 1775. Joannes Dulcken died soon afterwards, his death being registered at The Hague on 22 July 1775.
Johannes Dulcken died on 22 July 1775 of cramp to the intestines at The Hague at the age of 33 years . Incorrect mention of the age of 36.
